Overview: Chapter 5

Chapter 5 is the culmination. It is packed with heavy plot moments and final conclusions for some of the companions and the Commander’s own Mythic path as well. But because of how many things are happening and how little reaction there is, it could feel unbalanced. And we aim to address that. In fact, Chapter 5 has the most content injections so far.

After Iz#

Iz is the skeletal remains of Sarkonis, devoured and desecrated by demons from the moment the Worldwound was opened. From Iz, the plague spreads, infecting other settlements and poisoning the land; from Iz, demon armies march on Drezen. And it is in Iz that the Commander has the chance to finally strike a blow hard enough to make others believe that the tide is turning, that this Crusade will be different.

Companion conversations are available for: Arueshalae (Good/Evil), Camellia, Daeran, Ember, Greybor, Lann, Regill, Seelah, Sosiel, Woljif, and Ulbrig* .

After Ineluctable Prison#

Parts: 13

Ineluctable prison — a puzzle of a place — first to find it, and then to find your way around it. And it holds so many wonderful and terrifying things, from small — like a heart — to large — like purple worms. Not to mention some uniquely memorable decorations! Truly something for everyone.

Daeran’s Q3#

We've been adding bits and pieces to Daeran's One Final Breath quest in Chapter 5 over several versions of this mod.

The author of our Russian localization, Yria, pointed out the lack of companion reactivity during the pyre scene, so we tried to fix that particular problem.

We also added a few things to expand overall reactivity (Daeran's suspicion of Liotr, multiple options for (not) turning Daeran over to the Inquisition, etc., etc.).

Romance-specific content#

While all of the content in Chapter 5 is reactive to romances, we've added some reactions and tweaks that are specific to active romances outside of the quests' context.
