Overview: Chapter 4
Despite being well into the game from a plot perspective, this chapter was sort of a starting point for us for more complex injections. It has a lot of heartbreaking and reality-shattering moments for both the Commander and the companions, and it is also an interesting change of scenery — from our lovely little Drezen to the chaotic but vibrant Midnight Isles.
Beginning - arriving in the Abyss

After the Commander first visits the Lower City and comes back to the Nexus, new companion conversations will be available at the camp.

0.9.7LannThere were some things with Lann's Bad Blood quest in Chapter 4 that we just felt we had to address. For example, we thought it was a little strange that he did not recognize Wenduag's father during the Savamelekh encounter. So now he does.
After the Battlebliss Arena

We have added some conversations for romanced companions and reactive one-liner greetings for other cases, with plans to expand them to full conversations.
Meeting Areelu

0.9.7 0.9.5 Multiple charactersMeeting Areelu and receiving crucial information about the mythic powers is one of the most important milestones in the game's plot.
Because of the controversial nature of this revelation, we felt it necessary to add some companion reactions directly to the scene in Nocticula's palace, and to link this conversation to the subsequent Nexus discussions about the revelation.
After the revelation

0.9.8 0.9.7 0.9.5 Multiple charactersAreelu's revelation breaks the narrative that the player has been told to believe since Kenabres. So it seemed natural for us to have it discussed among companions afterward.
After Colyphyr

0.9.8 0.9.7 Multiple charactersAfter the Commander returns to the Nexus from Colyphyr, they can ask a few questions to those companions who remained at the camp.
If the player selects the line "[Talk to your companions] I take it you're tired of waiting for me," one of the companions will share their thoughts. However, in order to hear each person, this line must be selected multiple times.
We have reworked this part, so that the player only has to select this option once. We have also added some lines for the companions with active romances that were left at the camp.
