Romance-specific content
Parts: 4Chapter 2 contains the starting points for most of the romances in the game, so we touched on some things that bothered us. And changing Lann's apple scene (for the female commanders) at the beginning of the chapter is what started this whole mod.

Sometimes you really want to stay in the neutral zone, and being friends means just that. Not "friends." Friends. And not finding out a chapter later that the other side thinks you're in a relationship. So we rearranged the lines in this scene, added a few new ones, and changed some of the flags.
Then, half a year later, the 2.1.5m patch was released and fixed that one problematic relationship flag in the default scene, but we still like our version. We even wrote an article about it on Reddit.

Daeran’s romance
Avoiding Daeran’s romance start

We added a new line that was intended to be a mild rejection without being blatantly rude. It was assigned the action of ending Daeran's romance etude and points to the same response cue as the more severe "hard pass" line.
We wrote a post explaining how we are changing this part of the mod based on the feedback we received.

Additional flirting dialog unlocked
in 0.9.9e+ Crusader's Camp Docs
There is another flirting dialog with Daeran available through his general dialog tree. By default, it was hidden in the game due to the Debug=1 parameter set in its starting Answer_0184.jbp file.
We've unlocked it for Chapter 2 and tweaked the line flags a bit: this conversation can start the romance if it wasn't started before, otherwise it's just flirting. However, if the player chooses the patronizing line while the romance is active, Daeran's trust counter will decrease by 1 point.

Ulbrig’s romance
Alternative line for the romance start

Ulbrig's romance is initiated in his camp scene while he is actively mourning the people he knew in the past. We added a new line to start his romance that does not involve touching his face, but his hand. We thought it would be nice to add a lower level of intimacy due to the heavy context of the scene.
P.S. If you choose this line, please note that Ulbrig's return touch is FEATHER-LIKE, not father-like ⊙﹏⊙
