Version 0.9.9
This current version of the mod is all about Chapter 5.
It is mainly dedicated to writing the dialogs from scratch and improving the quest and relationship reactivity.
Since the amount of work is huge, this version will consist of several major releases.
The possibility of modular installation will be added in `0.9.9e`.
Version 0.9.9c
Sub-release intent
This release will target the content of the previous 0.9.9a and 0.9.9b releases. So our post-Iz content and conversations after Ineluctable Prison will be reactive to demons and liches.
Conversations after Pulura Falls have been written and proofread. Due to the huge gap between releases, we have also decided to include them in 0.9.9c.
Version 0.9.9b
Sub-release intent
This release targets non-demonic Mythic Paths, as demonic Commanders will require a separate content pack of conversations for Chapter 5 and especially after Inelactuble Prison.
In our post on Nexus Mods, we wrote about the reactivity challenges and obstacles we faced while working on this release.
Major changes
- Chapter 5
After Inelactuble Prison
Multiple characters
Added new companion conversations available through the general dialog tree after the Commander returns from Ineluctable Prison after liberating/killing the Hand of the Inheritor.
The availability of these conversations will last until either the Threshold or the moment the Commander enters Kenabres at the beginning of the A Dance of Masks DLC, if installed.
Lines vary depending on the world's state after the Ineluctable Prison quest (Hand's fate), companions' personal quests, and active romances.
Companion conversations are available for:
- Arueshalae (Good/Evil)
- Camellia
- Daeran
- Ember
- Greybor
- Lann
- Nenio
- Regill
- Seelah
- Sosiel
- Ulbrig*
* if The Last Sarkonians DLC is installed - Woljif*
* in his optional module to prevent any potential conflicts with the "Woljif romance mod"
Enhancements
Daeran acknowledges his recent experiences with the Inquisition before any other possible Chapter 5 conversations from this mod.
Available if his romance is active `OR` the Commander has decided to get rid of his problems in a very... drastic way.
Lann's beads (which he gives to the Commander) are now a notable item.
Fixes
- Prologue
Alignment
Fixed crossover links for additional sword showing lines (originally added in 0.9.8.1).
- Chapter 1
Lann
Lann will no longer refer to your character as "Commander" in his farewell lines until this title is granted (originally added in 0.9.5)
- Chapter 1
Camellia
Background: noble
Noble characters can now ask Camellia about peculiar items found in the Gwerm mansion.
- Chapter 5
After Iz
Greybor
Fixed Greybor's guild condition in gfr_ch5_after_iz_greybor_0a1b3_Cue_guild_Q3_high.jbp for his post-Iz dialog from 0.9.9a
- Chapter 5
Daeran
Romance
The dialog about roses (originally added in 0.9.8.1) is now available ONLY ONCE through Daeran's general dialog from the beginning of Chapter 5 until his Q3 is completed or failed.
Version 0.9.9a
Sub-release intent
In this release, we finally started working on Chapter 5, adding the post-Iz conversations with the companions and reworking the interactions in the final location of Daeran's Q3. Finally, the party members will react to all the crazy stuff that happens there.
We also went through the lines of text that we had added in previous versions and tagged them so that players could recognize the content of the mod (we had too many bug reports that had nothing to do with this mod).
Major changes
Pre-modularity
Reviewed and revised all existing dialog lines.
Tagged the first lines of the mod dialog trees and injection content with gray [gfr] tags at the end of sentences.
Existing lines that are changed by the mod are marked with a gray * at the end.
Chapter 5 After Iz Multiple characters
Added new companion conversations available through general dialogs after the Commander returns from Iz.
The availability of these conversations will last until either the Threshold or the moment the Commander enters Kenabres at the beginning of the A Dance of Masks DLC, if installed.
Lines may vary depending on the world's state after the Iz quest (the Queen's, Irabeth's, Deskari's, the banner's fate), companions' personal quests, active romances, and (hey, Arueshalae) whether the MC decided to take and use the Vescavor poison in Leper's Smile (Chapter 2).
Although Daeran and Woljif's post-Iz conversations are in different modules, they are aware of each other, so after the Commander talks to one of them, a reference line will be available in the other's dialog.
Companion conversations are available for:
- Arueshalae
- Camellia
- Daeran
- Ember
- Greybor
- Lann
- Regill
- Seelah
- Sosiel
- Ulbrig*
* if The Last Sarkonians DLC is installed - Woljif*
* in his optional module to prevent any potential conflicts with the "Woljif romance mod"
Chapter 5 Daeran: Q3 Multiple characters
Companions now intervene with their remarks before the pyre in Q3.
Companion lines added for:
- Camellia
- Ember
Note:she also tries to intervene separately later if at least one [lie] option is selected. - Lann
- Nenio
- Sosiel
- Seelah
- Woljif (as human and as demon).
Chapter 5 Daeran: Q3 Multiple characters
If the Commander decides to give Daeran to the Tribunal, the companions will comment on it.
Companion lines added for:
- Arueshalae
- Camellia
- Lann (lines vary depending on whether Daeran’s romance is active)
- Seelah
- Sosiel
- Woljif (lines vary depending on whether he has human/demonic ending, Daeran’s romance is active, PC is an Aeon or Oread)
Enhancements
After the MC talks to Liotr in their bedroom, suspicious Daeran will ask the MC about it (started through general dialog).
This conversation is available from the beginning of Chapter 5 until he arrives at a certain location in Q3.
Added more dialog options to give Daeran to the Tribunal (romanced, neutral, lawful, Angel-specific lines), or else (Azata, Demon-specific lines).
Fixes
The dialog about beads (originally added in 0.9.8.1) is now available only once (when the beads are equipped) from the beginning of Chapter 5 and until Lann's romance culmination.
Lann's starting dialog (added in 0.9.7) is now available from the beginning of Chapter 4 until the party enters Upper City and triggers his Bad Blood Q2 dialog there.
Greybor's starting dialog (added in 0.9.7) is now available from the beginning of Chapter 4 until Willodus is discussed in Greybor's Q2
Woljif's starting dialog is now available* from the beginning of Chapter 4 until the moment his Dark Moon Rising Q2 is initiated.
* in his optional module to prevent any potential conflicts with the "Woljif romance mod"
Maintenance
- Chapter 4
Multiple characters
The availability of the most of the dialogs in Chapter 4 now depends on whether the player has left Alushinirra, rather than on the status of certain captains' etudes.
